General Questions

Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic tattoo. It is implanting pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.

We use a Topical anesthetic for all procedures which eliminates most of the discomfort. Some clients experience discomfort due to varying pain tolerance and/or resistance to anesthetics. I am very gentle; you may be annoyed but not in pain.

The average procedure takes approximately 1 hour to two hours; it depends on the procedure.

On average, permanent makeup will last anywhere from 2-5 years depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare products. Avoid tanning and using glycolic acids (fruit acids, which are commonly found in some toners, cleansers and moisturizers, (read product labels). This will help the durability of your Permanent Makeup. Hair strokes will need to be touched up more often, every one to two years due to the single needle technique.

A small amount of swelling could and should disappear in approximately 3-5 days. You will be instructed to keep an occluding lubricant on your makeup for 7 to 10 days, depending on your procedure. Lips take longer to heal.

Home care is discussed before you leave the spa. Instructions and aftercare will be given to you, to take home with you as reference.
